I think that most people of my generation remembers the Finnish band Hanoi Rocks. And probably most of all their albums from the 80´s prime time when they lived the rock n roll live style on the Sunset Strip.

Plastic Tears has taken the inheritance from Hanoi Rocks to their hearts and brings us a high quality Glam Rock album. Just like Hanoi Rocks they mix up the traditional Glam Rock from the 70´s with a Punk twist. This album could so easily been released in the 80´s.

The band does it all so excellent. It´s just so right in every way, great songs with big hooks and catchy melodies. Most of all the let the punk attitude bring out the best of the songs.

I really haven´t heard anything like this in so many years that I actually can´t remember the last time. The band has really taken the album to the limit, you get it all here. Great songs, suiting vocals, the right attitude and overall a great performance in the studio. There are so many great songs on this album that it´s almost impossible to find any favorites among them. But I like a few a little more then the others. Opening track “Dark Passenger” then “Iris Kick”,”Miss Stumbling Legs” and “Universal Kid” are the ones that I enjoy a little more at the moment. In some way the last song “Universal kid” pretty much sums up the entire album.

I really hope that this will be the start of a new beginning of the traditional Glam Rock as it´s been under the weather for such a long time.

I strongly believe that this album will stand the test of time and at the end of the year it will be up in the top 10 releases of the year.

So now all you good people go check this band out, and maybe even buy the album.
