 Sometimes it´s just funny how you find new music if you keep an open mind and just are curious about music. This band was something I found while I was browsing thou my Facebook news-feed. I saw a video and just by curiosity I clicked play. It don´t have to bee any harder then that.

 I was totally blown away with what I hear that I immediately opened my Spotify and searched for the band. To my delight I found that they had released an EP. Yes of course was I hoping to find more, but still it was better then nothing at all.

 The EP was released earlier this year so straight after listening to it I decided to do a review of it. Normally I don´t do reviews of music that I haven´t been “asked” to review. But I felt that I had to do an exception in this case.

 So what was it that blew me away in such a big way? Well mostly it was that what I heard threw me back some 30 years in time. The voice that can out of the speakers was a duplicate of a young Taime Downe and the music was made from the same blueprint as Faster Pussycat in the early days. I haven´t heard anything like this in such a long time, if I ever have since then. I mean that everything about this band lives and breathes of the unique sound of the Sunset Strip and mostly of Faster Pussycat. It´s all there the attitude, the sound and an exceptional love for Sleaze. I find it extremely hard to do this any better. It´s all top nudge. The songs are really in such high quality that when the last one fades out you push play one more time and then again and, well you get the picture. And it´s still just as great for every time you hear it. You hear and feel the passion for the music in every cord.

 The only downside to this one is that it´s way to short. So I really had to contact the band to ind out if there would be any new material from them coming out in a near future. I´m very happy to inform you that there are a full length album scheduled for a early 2019 release.

 So keep an eye out for the debut album and enjoy this EP in the meantime. And keep the name Babylon Shakes in mind!
